Getting Started

Install the app, set up your dashboard, and connect the widget to your theme.

Installing Bessanora

  1. Visit the Shopify App Store and search for Bessanora
  2. Click Add app to begin the installation
  3. Review the permissions and click Install app
  4. You’ll be redirected to the Bessanora dashboard inside your Shopify admin

First-Time Setup

When you first open Bessanora, the dashboard will guide you through a quick setup checklist:

  1. Connect the widget — Add the Bessanora theme extension to your store’s theme
  2. Configure dropdowns — Set up the occasion, tone, and relationship options your customers will see
  3. Choose your plan — Start with the free 30-day trial (2,000 AI credits included)

Dashboard Overview

Your Bessanora dashboard gives you a complete view of your gift message activity:

  • Metrics — See total messages generated, AI credits used, and active templates at a glance
  • Recent Messages — Browse the latest gift messages created on your store
  • Quick Actions — Jump to templates, settings, or billing with one click

Connecting the Widget to Your Theme

The gift message widget appears on your product pages as a native Shopify theme extension:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. Navigate to a product page template
  4. Click Add block and find Bessanora Gift Message under Apps
  5. Position the block where you’d like it to appear (typically below the Add to Cart button)
  6. Click Save

The widget will now appear on all product pages where gift messages are enabled. Customers can select an occasion, tone, and relationship, then click “Inspire Me” to generate a personalized message.
