Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Bessanora is an AI-powered gift message generation app for Shopify stores. It enables your customers to create personalized gift messages at checkout using artificial intelligence and curated templates. The service includes a storefront widget, merchant dashboard, template management, and usage-based billing.

2. Account & Access

Bessanora requires an active Shopify store. Access is granted through installation from the Shopify App Store. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. By installing the app, you authorize Bessanora to access your store data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Billing

All billing is handled through the Shopify Billing API. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice.

• Bessanora uses a credit-based system. Each AI-generated message costs one credit.
• Template-based messages are always free and do not consume credits.
• Plans renew monthly. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle.
• Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing period.
• You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Bessanora to:

• Generate abusive, harmful, threatening, or harassing content.
• Create illegal, deceptive, or fraudulent messages.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent the service.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Generated gift messages belong to you, the merchant. You may use them freely in connection with your store. The Bessanora app, brand, code, design, and documentation remain the intellectual property of Bessanora and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

Bessanora is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. To stop using Bessanora, simply uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstall, your sessions are deleted immediately and all remaining data is hard-deleted within 48 hours, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of Bessanora shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.
